Reader Reports: Elizabeth, Mother of the 1920s

An entire family has recently been in touch with the blog about their encounter with a time traveler. This report comes from a mother daughter pair: Elsa Harriet White and Debra Hoffman.

One recent morning while Debra sat outside her home in Winona, a distressed and confused woman wearing 1920s period clothing appeared in her front yard. The woman claimed that Debra’s home was actually her home. Surprised and confused herself, Debra invited this potential time traveler into her home and out of the coolness of the early autumn. (Elsa tells this story a little differently, claiming that the woman knocked on the door first rather than being invited in by Debra.)

Once inside, Debra’s mother, Elsa, who lives with her and her husband, reacted strongly to the 1920s woman. The elderly Elsa, upon hearing that the woman’s name was Elizabeth White, became upset. Debra demanded that Elizabeth leave as…

Meeting Jane

Today I finally had a chance to get in touch with Winona Recordkeeper, Jane, to see if there were any other similar cases like my roommate Ben. She contacted me back saying she’s had reports and other media findings that report siting of people who fit the characteristics of Ben. This conspiracy theory starts becoming more and more factual, at first I thought this was all crazy but now Im starting to second guess myself. Im reading the blogs posted by Jane and all of those stories and honestly adding up which made me do my own research, which made me come up on an old newspaper that I sent to Jane. It was an article of Ben Davis and his classmates traveling to Arkansas to provide aid for protesting. Ill see what she has to say about the finding and see if its a coincidence or if theirs actually something going on here in Winona.

OMG Ben actually made a Twitter, finally. Although he does keep retweeting and tweeting odd stuff. I read this blog ran by this Jane girl who believes that there is some type of time traveling theory in Winona?? I thought she was crazy, but then I started thinking how the people she describes in her blog are very similar to that of Ben. Now I don’t want to say that I believe her but it wont hurt to send her a message and tell her about Ben, maybe she can explain who Ben who is. I also met a guy Will Morris who’s in my class and says there this guy by the name Chad Logan who also appears to be a little strange, I dont know maybe its just a coincidence, but it wont hurt to look into it. Because Chad Logan and Ben Davis both say their juniors but I have never seen them on campus before, and everything going on is starting to make me think, where did Ben come from? Im going to keep looking into it and keep in touch with Jane to see what the heck is going on.

Journal entry 2

Man this week felt like forever but finally its coming to an end, even though next week I have 3 exams!!! And Ben is more than ever more curious about the 1960s then hes ever talked about before. Ben keeps telling me odd Civil Rights facts and events and I try to pretend like it doesn’t bored me to death but it does. It gets me thinking what makes Ben so interested in the civil rights and the 1960s?  I mean he does study politics and journalism here in Winona so I guess weird interests go along weird majors. Even with his weirdness I actually convinced him to create a Twitter account!!!!! Finally some normal thing about him. Slowly but surely Im making progress with familiarizing him with the 21st century lol. This Wednesday he wants to go visit the Train Station for some reason, he said its for a “research project”, so we’ll see how that goes.

My Roommate’s Journals

While I was trying to discover more about who my roommate is, I discovered that he has some research journals. He keeps talking about trying to figure out how he got here, and the things he’s been saying sounds a lot like some of the other strange people that have been showing up in Winona lately. He’s been writing about adjusting to Winona, and it seems that he’s been keeping track of things he’s been learning about other’s showing up in Winona.

Here’s a sample of his observations:

  • People misplaced out of their time seem to have been showing up without a significant, discern-able pattern over the past four months.
  • The people always show by train, more often in morning.
  • I gather that more people have tried to integrate without notice than I’m aware of.
  • Authorities are starting to take the matter more seriously as more misplaced people show, but there is still a large shroud of disbelief that they are truly not from this place.
  • From everyone that I have talked to so far, no one else seems to have any better idea on how or why they got here, or how this can be occurring.
  • No one seems to remember anything different happening on the train ride, or noticing anything change.
  • Commonly, people felt a wave of nausea at some point during the trip close to Winona. Perhaps there is a time borderline?”

I don’t know what kind of stuff my roommate is getting into, or where he’s from. But this all seems very strange. Does anyone else in the Winona area know about these misplaced people? Anyone run into somebody like my roommate? People acting strangely or seeming slightly out of sync with everything? Let me know if you have similar experiences to compare with.

Who really is Ben Davis?

I’m not a huge writer, and I hardly ever keep track of what goes on in my life through the days, but I really feel like writing about my experience and encounter with my current roommate Ben Davis. Now I’m no one to judge, since I literally go to class in sweatpants and a hoodie, but this man literally looks like he came from the 1800s dressing up like Ross Martin from the original Wild Wild West, like honestly whats wrong with him. Another thing that I’ve noticed is that every time I talk to him or see him he always has this look of confusion, like he mysteriously appeared out of a time machine, dude just looks weird. Today marks the 2nd month of me living with him, and there has always been something strange about Ben, but I truly never I guess thought anything of it, until I maybe accidentally took a peek at his laptop, with many tab searches about “the 1960s”, “time travel”, and “Winona trains” which got me thinking, who really is Ben Davis? Where did he come from? How come I’ve never seen his family, or friends? So starting today I gonna keep a real close eye on Ben, and jot down everything I learn about Ben in order to figure out who he really is because I have a gut feeling something isn’t adding up.
